Matterstate was built on a simple frustration: agencies serving this region kept selling impressions to business owners who needed appointments, enrollments and sales.

We started as a two-person Google Ads shop working with a Cape Town food importer trying to reach both local buyers and the Zimbabwean diaspora market. The brief was blunt: stop reporting reach, start reporting revenue. That reframe is still the foundation of every account we run.

Do you work with businesses outside Zimbabwe?+

Yes, most of our clients serve both a local Zimbabwean market and a diaspora audience across South Africa, the UK, Australia, Canada and the US. We build campaigns and reporting around both from day one.

We don't have conversion tracking set up. Is that a problem?+

It's common, and it's the first thing we fix. We treat working conversion tracking as a hard prerequisite before any paid campaign launches. Otherwise you're optimizing blind and every report after that is guesswork.
